Thrifty Finds

It hasn't all been about the beaches and sunshine up here, the op shops have been pretty generous too.
When I saw Louana's post about her Fiesta saucer and how she'd thrifted it and then made like, 50 million percent by selling it online, I realised I had snaffled a Fiesta dinner plate...for free!
In fact, I haven't spent more than $5 on all of the Crown Lynn plates I've found. *
I love these dinner plates, they stack so beautifully and aren't bulky at all. And it's kind of become a "thing" that I haven't had one single double-up!
Do you look out for them to sell?
Or keep?
Or neither?!

*We paid $10 for the set of 6 cups and saucers shown in the last picture, which also came with 6 side plates.

  1. I love mismatched too! And I'm far too lazy to sell thrifted finds, though I sometimes think about it (in the poorer moments). I'm a bit in love with those fiesta plates now, thanks guys! Will keep an eye out, though I rarely let myself opshop these days...

They all look so nice together - good hunting!

  4. I've got a sunflower version of the one in the third photo, bottom right. I was going to hang it on the wall I love it so much. We'll have to get together with our almost matching plates for a piece of cake very soon. Lovely finds. The fiesta one is nice too. Cx

  9. I adore Crown Lynn and have quite a few pieces now - although none of them the same designs as the ones you have in this blog post! I love mismatched pieces and we eat off our Crown Lynn plates every day. The only ones we don't use daily are the colour glaze ones, after I lost one too many with my son taking them out of the dishwasher to put them away. I am always on the lookout for them from Op shops, but there aren't many to find these days in our well picked over Wellington stores.

  10. We've had mismatched plates forever - since I started flatting. Now I'm trying to slowly replace and improve our plates. About a year ago I started hand washing instead of using the dishwasher so am trying to get back to all nice plates rather than our collection of ones worn by the dishwasher.
