the longer i'm a parent, the more i understand parents.
i know, now, why they get up in your grill about doing dumb stuff when you think it's no big deal.
when i saw these pictures i got a preview of that gut-twisting fear of this child losing her beautiful light to dumb, immature choices.
that would be devastating - almost like losing a child.
or, is it completely unfair to expect my pre-hormonal child to have the same personality as one full of hormones and independence?
now, more than ever, i'm starting to feel like a parent, and more than just a mother.
this job is HUGE, people!

I think your hair giving, little brother loving girl will be just fine with brilliant guides through life like you xx
ReplyDeleteYou're all growed up Dee!! x
ReplyDeleteits an enormous job my friend...Josayes 15 gulp x a million. her need to explore and 'be' is both a joy to be a part of and a nail biting gut twisting journey. I am terrified and thrilled - daily. Mostly i am thankful - growing her is growing me. You're a beautiful mama, young jada is blessed
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and really love it! Can't wait to get to "know" you better here :) Have a great day!
